The team were challenged with delivering more for less, so we embarked on a process to find incremental wins from the existing mobile experience.
Our approach
We started by seeking out the hidden potential. Drilling into the data and conducting exploratory research, we uncovered a number of high value and low cost opportunities. One of the opportunities related to what we referred to as the ‘loop of despair’. Customers struggled to find which deal provided the best value to meet their needs. This led to a loop between 'Menu' and 'Deals and going backward and forwards comparing options.
The team concepted, prototyped, and tested solutions and AB testing was conducted to validate assumptions.
Outcome
The team uncovered significant hidden potential in the mobile experience and delivered solutions to enhance the experience. Through this process, week-on-week sales increased by a staggering 17.5%, with a 2.5% decrease in basket abandonment and a substantial increase in app store ratings.
